About

For playing such an important role in human health, there is very little real practical and easily understood information available regarding omega-3 fatty acids. In conjunction with The Omega-3 FAQ I thought that these somewhat ignored nutrients deserved a forum to post updated news, information, recipes, and other items that I thought would be valuable to those seeking more information regarding these critical fatty acids.

I am not a doctor, but I am fascinated with human health and the myriad ways in which different foods and compounds are used by the body. What I am, though, is an ex-Wall Street analyst, and by nature and work related training, obsessed with researching subjects that interest me. I have a few doctors in the family and extended friendship circles, and between them and my colleagues, I retain access to various sources of clinical and epidemiological data. They also share my compulsive love of research and analysis. I have acquired a strong knowledge of the field of Omega 3 fatty acid studies and enjoy keeping up to date with new studies and clinical research. Everything I share in this blog and website is information I have gleaned and thought about, but no more than my opinions on the subject. I have always felt the need to share my insights, and try to do so without bias. With that in mind, I hope you find this blog and the parent website helpful.

While I do my best to keep up with the latest research, I also have two doctors with whom I consult during the course of my research. They help me both keep some outlandish claims I find in check as well as ensure that my writing grounded with the most current and clinical sensibility I can manage. I would greatly like to thank the following individuals for their insight and guidance:

Nicholas Ransom ND, LAc

Yvette Maestas ND, MS
